To the strains of Lucio San Pedro's rousing Simbang Gabi. the Our Lady of Fatima Parish inaugurated the novena of Masses in immediate preparation for the celebration of Christmas. Msgr Gerry presided and preached, FVoice sang, Lingkod on Dambana (Knights of the Altar) served in full force, the EMHCs were there, with the lectors and commentators. The Commission on Family and Human Life led the sponsors. Fr Alex Zamora celebrated with Gov Sally Lee, Mayor Leovic Dioneda and all the city personnel at the City Hall, Fr Arje in Buhatan, Fr Chrisly in Abuyog, Fr Ben Dogillo at SPPVS and a seminary priest at OLV.
The general theme for this year's SIMBANG GABI is THE PRIEST; WITNESS TO THE WORD MADE FLESH.
The theme for the first day, homily guide provided by Msgr Rene Mabute, Vicar General, is The Priest and The Church: Shepherd of the People of God.
